Greenworks G-Max Mower Review At A Glance

Greenworks is a well-known company in the lawn equipment industry. Their specialty is in manufacturing top-quality electric devices. Their lawnmowers are no different. They are built with high-quality materials and performs superbly.

In this article, I am going to talk about one of their battery-operated push-mower that is the Greenworks G-Max 25322 cordless mower. The best thing about that mower is that you don’t need electricity or gas to run this one.

This one has a compact body that requires less amount of space to store. The battery provided with the mower is powerful enough to mow a small lawn on a single charge. The cutting blade cuts the grass smoothly and provides a clean cut every time.

You will get some adjustable cutting heights to choose from too. That’s just the basic intro. Now let’s dive deeper into it and see if it really is as good as they say it is.

Pros

  • Lightweight and easy to control
  • Rear bag attached
  • 5 cutting height adjustment options available
  • Reasonably priced
  • Easy to maneuver and turn
  • Takes less storing space in the garage

Cons

  • The battery is not as powerful as the manufacturer claims
  • No side discharge option available

Features to Look Out For

1# A Super Performer

The lightweight design of the Greenworks 25322 G-Max makes the operating part a piece of cake. It is engineered to move across the lawn smoothly with 6-inch wheels on the front side and 7-inch wheels on the back. That wheel size combo does make it difficult to hover around hilly places though.

The lithium-ion 40 Volt 4 Ah battery drives the push mower on a full charge for up to 30 minutes on average. You might see about it covering like 7000 square feet by charging the battery just once but let me make it clear that it’s not always the case.

Some of them just get lucky and receive a mighty and insanely good quality battery that works like a charm for them. As that event is rare, it’s best for you to keep a spare backup battery ready at your side.

One of the very convenient things about the lithium-ion batteries of this electric mower is that they are compatible with up to 25 other electrical power tools in their line as well.

So, if you need to go on for a long amount of run time, you can easily turn from another system to another battery.

It is not a self-propelled mower but pushing it isn’t a hard job. Greenworks developed it to generate a minimal amount of vibration and that’s for your comfort.

2# Compact Size

Your tiny lawn doesn’t need a giant mower, it needs a small one to do the job and that’s exactly what this Greenworks 25322 is. A compact sized mower that is easy to handle due to its small size and lightweight. It will also require a tiny bit of space in your garage or shed to save your storing space. The handle is adjustable, so you make some space from there too.

The 16-inch cutting deck is big enough for a small lawn trimming job too.

3# No Cord

As a battery-operated push mower, you won’t have to deal with any cord dilemmas with this one. Just attach the battery and your mower will be roaring to go. No cord, no gas so just relax.

4# Mowing Options

It gives you some cutting height adjustment options, 5 to be precise. Now that’s handy to get the desired sized grass you want on your lawn. Plus, they are offering 2 in 1 mowing option. One is rear bagging and the other one is mulching.

Choose whichever one you feel comfortable with. Just keep in mind that the mulching technique consumes more battery power than bagging. So, mulching might drain out your battery faster.

5# A Quiet One

Due to the battery-operated feature, it makes close to zero noise. This one is as quiet as they can get. That’s a relief for you and your neighbor. Now you can enjoy your weekend morning mowing your lawn without worrying about interrupting your neighbor’s sleep.

The noise makes a huge difference between this one and the other electric or gas-powered mower.

It is totally environment friendly too. And I don’t have to tell you, that caring about the environment is our moral job and it is very important too. If the environment remains well, we will survive at peace. It is as simple as that.

6# Low Maintenance

Greenworks 25322 won’t ask any more of your time than you need to finish your mowing job. It is a simple piece of machinery that requires no additional maintenance on your part unless some incident messes it up.

Just grab it, finish the operation, take care of the grass clippings and that’s it. Then you can put the mower back right where it was and forget about it.

Oh! And don’t forget to charge the batteries once the charge is finished.

7# Price

This version of Greenworks G-Max with a 4Ah battery and a charger cost just as much as it should be. They didn’t overprice it unnecessarily and that’s great. It will fit right into your budget as the best equipment for your lawn care service.

Verdict

The Greenworks 25322 G-Max Battery-powered push-mower is a small-sized option for your lawn. So, choose it only if you have a small or even a medium-sized lawn. Don’t even think about it if your lawn is a big one.

This little mower won’t be able to handle that one. Other than that, it is a perfect option given how well it performs in the field.
